The Purposes & Goals of the Charmettes Club of Orlando
The Charmettes Club of Orlando was established in 1964 as a group to enhance the lives of the young ladies in our community. Since then, over 300 ladies have experienced their middle and high school years as a Charmette.
The purposes & goals of the Charmettes Club of Orlando are
- To gain cultural exposure that will build and enhance character.
- To promote proper goal setting and planning for their futures.
- To develop qualities that will serve the Charmettes all of their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and acknowledging their self-worth.
As a Charmette, you will get the opportunity to focus the following topics:
- Sharing your unique talents
- Being comfortable in asking for support & resources
- Developing your leadership skills
- Exposure to African American Art, Music, & Culture
- Knowing your self worth
- Scholastic Achievement
- Goal Setting
- Self Accountability
- Being a positive image in your community
- Taking advantage of Volunteer Learning Opportunities
