Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated had its humble beginnings as the vision of nine college students on the campus of Howard University in 1908. Since then, the sorority has flourished into a globally-impactful organization of nearly 300,000 college-trained members, bound by the bonds of sisterhood and empowered by a commitment to servant-leadership that is both domestic and international in its scope.

Welcome to the official website of the Orlando Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, - Delta Omicron Omega.

As President, I am both humbled and honored to serve this great chapter guided by the theme:

“Like the Ivy, We Climb as We Grow, We Excel as We Soar, and We Flourish as We Stay Connected”.

This theme reflects both the legacy and the living promise of Alpha Kappa Alpha. Like ivy, our chapter is rooted in strength, nurtured by growth, and sustained through connection. Delta Omicron Omega Chapter, chartered October 24, 1947, continues to rise through purposeful service, strategic programming, and a steadfast commitment to excellence—uplifting our community while honoring the vision of our founders and the determination of our chartering members.

Our members are women of integrity, leadership, and compassion who believe that collective effort fuels lasting impact. As we grow, we remain committed to developing leaders; as we soar, we strive for excellence in all that we do; and as we flourish together, we strengthen our bonds of sisterhood while expanding our reach of service.

Since our inception, Delta Omicron Omega has led the way in serving our community through educational workshops, health awareness campaigns, support and partnerships with small and minority owned businesses, voter education and advocacy, and other outreach events that reflect our unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those we serve. Our chapter’s charitable arm, the Petals of Hope Foundation, Inc., hosts annual fundraisers to impact the lives of those in need of services and opportunities beyond their reach. From scholarships, to our community Senior Luncheon, to our “Transport to Care” partnership with Advent Health for breast cancer patients, we remain focused on being a change agent in the local area.

Under the administration of our International President and CEO, Mrs. Danette Anthony Reed, and her "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood" platform, we are working to address childhood food insecurity with our AKA CHIPP™ program, develop future leaders, decrease our carbon footprint by air by planting trees and recycling, and engaging in civic responsibility by registering and educating voters.

On behalf of our dynamic, dazzling and ever so devoted members, we thank you for visiting, and invite you to explore our website to learn more about our chapter, our programs, and the meaningful work we are privileged to do. Whether you are a community partner, a sister, or a visitor seeking to learn more, we hope you are inspired by our dedication to service and our commitment to growth, excellence, and connection.

Together, we continue to climb, soar, and flourish—rooted in sisterhood and united in service.
